SKILLS

Warrior: In his prime, Al Mualim was one of the greatest Assassins of the time. Now, in his old age, he still possesses skills to be feared. Even though he has been trained in all the disciplines available to an Assassins, he favours the sword over all other weapons, having discarded his knifes and Hidden Blade long ago when he reached the highest ranks. His technique is very advanced, but age and lack of practice are starting to weaken it. Though his grip is still as sure as the first day, Al Mualim can no longer convey so much strength to his strikes, and his feet are still fast, but not as fast as they were. Due to the beginnings of arthritis, Al Mualim could probably fight his enemies without much trouble, but after the fight he would feel a terrible soreness in his joints.
Free Runner: even though he still teaches the novices about it, from time to time, Al Mualim no longer climbs and run the way he once did, and that has cost him greatly. He has lost flexibility and endurance. Altaïr jumps from the office balcony. Al Mualim goes down the stairs.
Master Planner: a veteran of many battles, Al Mualim is a consummate strategist. Feinting and deceit are like breathing for him. He teaches his students by example: he becomes their enemy, and they must learn the hard way to counter his strategies and plots and see through his labyrinths of half truths. The Master's mind is always examining and making plans. He doesn't like having to depend on other people to carry out, but then, he trains them himself. (His ultimate deception: making someone think he has killed them. He has a special dagger covered in a special poison that makes people lose consciousness).
Learned man: after many years of study, Al Mualim has adquired many forms of wisdom. Philosophy, Theology, Linguistics, History, Politics, Astronomy and Engineering are all part of his knowledge. Even his enemies consider him a wise man, and would value his counsel...if he weren't so deceitful. A respected teacher and judge, his advice is requested by many, and he satisfies in the way he thinks best these demands.
PERSONALITY

POSITIVE TRAITS
Wise * Cunning * Resourceful * Self-sacrificing * Strong-willed
NEGATIVE TRAITS
Manipulative * Demanding * Cold-hearted * Obstinate * Proud * Secretive * Ruthless * Deceitful
Al Mualim has given his life for the Order, and is ready to make whatever sacrifices necessary to achieve the peace he desires. After so many years as a strategist, he tends to regard everyone as a pawn in the dangerous game he plays, that he can sacrifice anytime he wishes, but he is still able to care for the people closest to him, even if his mindset leans more toward the term "ally" than "friend".
He has loved in the past, and been loved back, but these days are long gone. Now, he dedicates himself solely to his duties as leader of the Assassins and finds sentimental pursuits a loss of time. Now he doesn't feel the need for feminine comfort, but in the years past he was one of the strongest advocates of giving women a greater role in the order, disregarding anything religion had to say about it. At the present, the most he can do is staring at his most feminine apprentices and remember better times...before he quickly discards that thought.
Al Mualim is a very harsh and demanding teacher. His knowledge is vast, and so are his skills, and he doesn't see why his apprentices' shouldn't, given enough time. He prices excellence and scorns both sloth and failure. Any breaking of the Creed's tenets he observes will be accordingly and severely punished. That's his only belief, the Creed. Though he is a learned scholar of the Qu'ran, the Holy Bible and the Torah, he sees nothing divine on them apart from any wisdom they contain.
And finally, his greatest flaw is his pride. When he imagines that some day someone will be given the power to bring peace to the world, he thinks he is the only one adequate to wield that power. No one has learned as much as him, no one has made so many sacrifices. They have flaws that could corrupt them and ruin everything.

DESCRIPTION

Al Mualim is a tall man. Age has not diminished his stature, and he walks with sure steps, holding himself with elegance and pride. He has dark skin, weathered by age and hard work under the scorching Syrian sun. He has a piercing gaze, which would be even more imposing if his right eye had not been blinded in battle. If anything, his scars make him even more menacing and mysterious.
His hair was once black as coal, but it is graying now and turning white. Al Mualim wears a long beard with pride. It marks him as a wise and learned man among his peers.
He wears a hooded black robe adorned with silver fastenings over his white Assassin garments. This robe is a symbol of his rank and marks him as the Grand Master of the Order. He wears leather boots, appropiate for traversing the rough terrain of Masyaf, and for being ready in case quick action is needed. Al Mualim also has a cane with an end fashioned after the head of an eagle. He carries it to reinforce his power, or maybe as a concealed weapon, or maybe to give a false appearance of weakness and luring someone into a false sense of security. He doesn't really need it to walk.

HISTORY

"I abided my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly. I perceive that this also was a chasing at the wind. For in much wisdom, is much grief. And he that increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow."
Much of Al Mualim's past is shrouded in mystery today, and so it was in his time as Master of the Assassins. He approved of that.
Al Mualim was born in the first half of the 12th Century somewhere in Syria. As records from that time are all but lost, it is difficult to ascertain, but it is quite possible that he began his training with the Assassins of Alamut, before or during the Headquarters relocation to Masyaf. From what can be gathered from the lives of other assassins from that period, Al Mualim surely trained in the deadly arts from a very early age. His rise through the ranks should have been fast, given his position at the end of his life.
Al Mualim is a very successful leader of the Assassins. That he managed to guide the Order safely through the treacherous landscape of 12th Century politics and through all the strife of the Crusades is proof of that. Under his command, the Assassins survived more than a crisis that could have eliminated them. He trained many students. It can be said that his teachings spawned roughly an entire generation of Assassins, including the notorious Altaïr Ibn La-Ahad, his most promising pupil. He was invaluable to the order in conflicts such as the Siege of Masyaf by Salah Al-Din and the debacle in Alep, in which the Order lost one of its strongholds.
Nowadays, the Master rarely abandons his office in Masyaf, preferring to control the Assassin's progress from there and continuing his already vast studies in the library. He has lately suffered a great setback from Altaïr's failure in Solomon's Temple, but he has managed to make amends for that. Now, with the Templar Treasure in his safe hands, he is sending out his Assassins, the demoted Altaïr among them, to make amends and assume control of the situation once more. As he likes to say when holding the Apple: I AM ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL.
'Nuff said.

(But Pirates should have more crazy weapons as Nobles have restrictions, is that ok? 'Cause it's not good giving one side an advantage. Also should i put Typhoon in this?)

(Pirates have ummm more strengh because they are not used to the easy life style therefore can kill a noble quickly if its one on one but it isn't plus its more fun if your outnumbered)
(And I said sure but he must have limits he can't appear out of nowhere and so on)
