Update #5:
Moony: 16 days old
Holly & Puddles: 12 days old

Pool upgrade! They seem to like the extra space They'll spend a while in this before moving to the coop room and, finally, out into an outdoor coop. I'll probably pop their large feeder in there soon but for now it's been easy to keep up with demand.

Update #6:

Moony: 18 days old
Holly & Puddles: 14 days old (2 weeks)

After moving the girls to their new pool 2 days ago they were very fearful when I had to turn off the light for bedtime. I always put a nightlight on in there, but this time it didn't even help. After trying to wear them out with some playing and still crying nonstop the moment I'd left, I realized the openness of the room was the problem. I managed to prop their old brooder lid up over part of the pool and they immediately went underneath and snuggled up for sleep. Problem solved! So I'll be doing that for them for the next several nights at least. I'm also becoming very confident that Moony is female after hearing some honking and baby "quacks". I'm very shocked that she's vocal already!

Sorry for the poor picture quality. This morning all three of them fell asleep on my leg at the same time and it was absolutely adorable. Unfortunately I couldn't reach my phone to snap a picture. You'll have to trust me; it was so cute!

I'm going to go buy them some green beans and koi food to try soon since they are all now 2 weeks old.

Update #7:

Moony: 20 days old
Holly & Puddles: 16 days old

Bought different shavings for their pool and they love how soft and fluffy the bedding is. They have a good time digging their peaks in and tapping the plastic bottom. Of course, swim time and cuddling are always a hit too <3 Tomorrow we try rolled oats mixed in with the feed since Moony will be 3 weeks old!
