Of course I am! Sounds great!
*Ahem, I can still see that little Crashie duck peeking 'round you!*
Crash looks great flapping! Trust me, it took Peg tons and tons of practice to master the one-legged flap on a hill bit!![]()
I don't have any new pictures, but I certainly have plenty of older pictures I can share. How about a Crashie bath time photo shoot from this past September?

Crashie? Who is this 'Crashie' you speak of? I don't know any 'Crashies'...![]()
Haha, I meant more the face Crash had in that picture than anything. Peg is all cute in her picture, while Crashie is all 'derp'.Well, and cute, too, but you get what I mean.

Here are some photos of my call duck alaska just a quick question for you call duck experts... when do calls
Lay? She’s around 41 weeks still no egg? And will they mate with larger ducks? I have two magpie drakes which seem really close with her and another
Call drake which is bullied by her will they be able to create babies? Considering their size differences ?
Likely. Chrissy was pretty chunky in build even for her breed... my current WH female [Brooke] is much smaller and slimmer.
I think she would have been all right for a few more years had her leg not broken. Combined with using her wings a bit, she could get around all right. I am wondering if that was more my fault than I originally thought. She was churning out huge eggs every day, literally every day for weeks... and she wasn't getting layer feed or oyster shell. I completely forgot until a week or two prior to the break. I don't know which bones they draw from most but I have had a rotten feeling in my chest that that at least contributed to it.
Anyway... I am going off topic now. Apologies.
View attachment 1220455 why yes I do believe I am a perfect dux. Thanks for asking![]()
I am going to get more Calls in the Spring!!!!!!!!: What variety should I get? White, Pastel, Snowy or Gray. What do ya think? I already have 2 whites. I will get them from www.johnsonswaterfowl.com. I plan on using them as a 4h project. Thoughts?
The one is pretty. Feathersite says it's a silver.View attachment 1220525

Agreed..I'm clueless, lol.
probably safer that way especially for a 4h project, i like whites and i love what they call pencilled. i like the 'ancona' or 'magpie' lookOne can dream...but I'm just gonna get 1 variety.
better to admit you dont know than to pretend you do and spread false infoDisclaimer: You all should know that I know almost nothing about call ducks. I know they come in many colors and that they are small, but that's it.![]()
