Shadow listened as one of the dogs started barking and jumped into the deep water. "No way!" Shadow said surprised.

Soon Spice reached the start of the hill that was covered in fireflies. As she ran she nipped at Heliotrope watching the fireflies glow under her feet.

One of the blue birds flew down and landed next to Sugar. It scratched the ground, then at a bug that was crawling away.

Buck looked up at her. "What?"
 
"They've found our trail! There the first dogs I've ever encountered to do that." Shadow said.

The blue bird looked up at Sugar then flew over to a branch.

Spice galloped next to Heliotrope. Once she got back to the trees on the edge of the field that the herd was at she stopped and stared at them for a moment.

Buck looked at her. "That good or bad?"
 
"Very bad. They'll find us in a couple minutes and I don't know any more tricks." Shadow said worried.

Spice turned to Heliotrope and said, "Thank you."

Blood was staring at Sugar but looked away quick hoping she wouldn't notice.
