@cheezenkwackers will you take a look at this ducklings belly where the yolk didn't absorb and give your opinion on how it is looking now.

It looks dry and that is good that means it is healing. The reason for the ointment is to keep bad bacteria from getting inside when it was open now that it look dry why not leave off anything till tomorrow and lets see how it looks just keep her from getting it dirty.

Oh okay and I got this from the store. Lucky is super active trying to jump out of her house or climb out should I let her run around in the floor or no

Sure let her run around she will probably poop so make sure mom and dad are okay with it. Just make sure she can't pick anything up off the floor she could swallow, Just like a toddler you have to watch them close.

I use Triple antibiotic ointment it's good stuff.

I talked with a friend here in BYC @New duck mommy 2021 she said same as me don’t put any more ointment on for now and let the scab fall off on its own as it dries.
