Hi, Cindy! That's some interesting information....
How was your Sunday, by the way?
Not much happened here... broody mama Marshmallow has started growling at me when I poke my head into the coop, though, so that's something.
Oh, and I stepped on a frog, thought that it was dead, brought it inside to dissect, and discovered that it was, in fact, very much alive. He's back out in the pond, now, the cute little guy.
Very nice day today. I moved the hill encampment of chicken tractors (portable coops) along a bit to a clean spot. We tractored the residual poop/straw/hay out of the barnyard and into a hollowed-out spot where it will hopefully morph into compost. A long, stanky job. Glad it's (mostly) done.

Mostly, my hip didn't hurt all day and I reached my step goal. 😀 My (first) broody hatched her babies day before yesterday. So little & sweet! I have SO many chickens! Hey, you're into surgery type things. You might like the capon thread. Most people think castrating roosters sounds too hard, but I'll bet you'd find it interesting. https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/graphic-pics-of-my-day-learning-to-caponize.675898/

That was fascinating. Loved it, Cindy! Thanks for posting it!
Hmm... now I know what to do if Marshmallow hatches more roosters... where's my scalpel?

Sorry, it is a textural thing for me :( I don’t like tapioca, jello, flan, bubble tea...you get the picture.
I "get it" in a very real way. Only in the last several years have I begin to tolerate anchovies. ONLY went used as a hint or accent to a paste or sauce etal. That took over 40 years.
Pepperoni was OD'd upon in the summer of 96. Took until a few years ago to be able to stomach even a few slices. Now, I can handle a piece or two of pizza with some on it or a 'hotpocket' from time to time.
Broccoli has lost my favor about 25-20 years ago. However, I do still eat it... Sparingly.
Okra. I still try it from time to time. My Better-half hasade a couple recipes in the last couple years that I have tolerated the texture & flavor in the gumbo yet, nowhere else at this time.

I do! But cheese doesn’t have that bouncy jiggly texture that I hate in food.
I have discovered about 6 years ago that I like the flavors of ricotta cheese or cottage cheese mixed equally with a good yogurt. Either as vanilla or a fruity flavor mix. The kiddos have also come to enjoy this as well! The protein bonus is great too.
