I love the flavor of the all-natural peanut butter, and the texture is interesting, but good.
Oh, and I meant that peanut butter is weird in that it's behavior is tricky to describe. It's thick, but kind of goopy. It sticks to your throat and mouth and tongue, like a syrup, and you need water or some other liquid to wash it down, but it isn't properly "dry" or "syrupy."
it is an odd substance. Like anti-matter, but tasty.
We hardly ever have crunchy peanut butter. However, I'll bet that it would make some delicious Idiot Cookies, what with those bits of peanuts....
Do I even wanna know what Idiot Cookies are!? :lau :pop

It separates into oil?? What kind of peanut butter are you people eating? That sounds nasty.
The kind without emulsifiers and other chemicals.
I just throw peanuts into the blender for a while. I never have issues with it becoming oily. 🤷‍♀️
Fresh homemade peanut butter sounds great. Do you shell or roast or boil them first? If you don't shell them that would explain why yours is not oily. Thanks for sharing your recipe! Sounds like the same recipe as elf butter.

Peanut butter is just another prechewed food like sausage. That and they make all the unpalatable parts palatable and unrecognizable in sausage. Makes life easier since you don't take time chewing to get on with your life.

Home roasted peanuts are much more better than the fried ones in a can.

They are incredibly delicious -- to everyone in my house, at least -- cookies that require no baking. They have peanut butter, cocoa powder, coconut, and oats, among other things.
I'll post the recipe later.
Oh, and sugar, too, but I always cut down on the amount.

I don't like the all natural peanut butter. I want to, but it separates into oil and a kind of non-Newtonian liquid (like cornstarch and water but way more obstinate). If you leave it alone it either settles or if you tilt it, flows. When you try to stir the oil back in, or even take a spoonfull out, it suddenly comes to life and fights back. It's literally easier to stir thick concrete. Tahini is worse; almond "butter" is easier to scoop. And when you, against all odds, manage a spoonful, it's dry. 😢

I like commercial peanut butter. I prefer smooth but either is fine. I like a bit on a slice of cheddar, an apple slice, or just a spoonful straight--and yes it's heavenly with honey. :love
Do you stand the jar upright or turn it upside down like fishing worms?
