What method will you be using? Will you be using the water it currently has, or starting fresh? Just curious, I love aquariums, ponds, that sort of stuff.

We put all of the old water in buckets and took it with us. We did remove the old sand bed and replace it with fresh live sand (plus just a little of the old sand it seed it). Once we got the tank back to our place, we filled it about 2/3 full with the old water and then topped it full with freshly mixed saltwater. Got very covered in stinky fishy water in the process lol. Working on re-acclimating the fish and other livestock then we will put them in the tank. And go take showers!

How's your Dobie doing? Feeling any jealousy toward the baby duck(s)?

Oh he's jealous I'm sure.
He knows better than to hurt anything that is "MINE" in my presence though. I wouldn't trust him alone with any of the birds.

True!! Especially cause he’s pretty lean too. But still! There’s lots of Black and Tan breeds!

My dogs love the birds. My labradoodle and my lab-chow/shitzu-bichon mix always hang out with ith them. The Pomeranian likes the hatchlings, but once they get big she’s not so sure. Never trust a flipping cat. We had a stray break into the gym last night where we were brooding some bantams. It came in through a windo cracked an inch. I didn’t even know it was open. Killed 9 out of 12. Got a trap set since I know he’ll be back.

We live in town, it’s really small (94 people) but it’s still in town. I’m stuck with a trap. I actually was going to get one when my bat cat got outside. My cats are inside cats.
