Not that there are that many, but... well. Crabs. Pinchy-pinchy-ouch-ouch. Not an experience that I want to experience.
And seaweed is terrible when it wraps around your legs.
I was at a beach once with a really violent set of waves coming in. (It was a small lagoon on a big island.) Sooo, we all decided to try some body surfing. I never got the knack. Every single time I came in, the water pulled me under and tumbled me over and over. (Call it a primitive neti pot experience...) The first time I resisted but I couldn't fight it. Eventually I tumbled up on the shore. So I did it again. I know it seems weird, but that was so much fun! 🤩

As an Aircrew rescue swimmer, we trained, sitting in the cargo door for a)called "10 & 10" which is 10' at 10 knots. B) "15 & 0" which is 15' at 0 knots speeds respectively. However, the 1st number was ALWAYS a reference point to the Top of the waves and the speed was also +/- 5 - 11 knots once you take into consideration wind direction & wind speed. So if you have mild seas of say, 10' then your "10 & 10" could be as far as a 20'-ish drop. Is your in heavy seas, well. You get the idea now, right?

Sure that made complete sense even after the tenth time rereading it 😂

in all seriousness that’s cool.

Syringes and pen needles for my insulin aren't that bad -- just a quick prick (unless I poke a nerve, in which case, OWWWW). Lancets are the same.
I'm more concerned about the fact that I'm A) not expecting to be jabbed while in the water, and B) the little ankle-biter could do it repeatedly.
The only things I've ever had bite me under water were minnows. Crabs honestly aren't that interested in pinching you. If you pick them up, the only thing I've had them do is try to get away. The minnows can be really annoying after a while, though.

It sounds cool and looks cool..

but if I was in that bird and it was my job to jump, they would need 5 more guys onboard just to throw me out, and three of them would be “jumping” with me.

I had a friend that was a paratrooper. He told me that he always picked the highest ranking officer to punch whenever it was his turn to jump. He always ended up getting thrown out of the plane.

I think I would do it You never know until you're faced with it though & the opportunity has yet to present itself.

DH was a paratrooper. I’ve never jumped, but he’s done it enough for both of us.
