Do you know what the Chicago Manual of Style is?

I have an encyclopedia set, a row of dictionaries—both in english and in other languages—nearly a full shelf of chicken books, some old biology textbooks, and a decent collection of books on art history and technique. Oh, and 10--15 years worth of horse magazines... though those don't really count. That's just on the nearest bookshelf. (I have 10+.) So, yes. :thumbsup
I would have far more if I wasn't broke.

As for the original question, I firmly believe that Chicago is the best style guide. I actually have my copy right here, by the computer. It's the latest edition and I love it very much.
Picture of the book please.

Also attached is an image of most of my dictionary collection, for Kdogg. I'm a simple woman. If I see a dictionary on a free pile, I take it.
The shelf the Manual is on is my frequently-referenced section. Er, mostly. A great deal of misfiled papers and borrowed books have ended up there as well.

Love the dog book :love

and the elevator manual is surprisingly colorful!! It’s a pretty cover!!

And why do you have a children’s dictionary!?

Also, those shelves and the speaker are surprisingly modern. Surprised you have such modern tech lol

It's two editions behind current.

:lau that doesn’t sound that old at first but I Googled it and it said they update it every 7-10 years? So it could potentially be 20 years old? In which case, that’s pretty damn old haha

Like I said, if I see it on a free table, I get it. I don't discriminate. All dictionaries are good. Some people collect lost dogs. I collect lost dictionaries.

I forget where I got the bookshelf. The speakers got replaced very recently after the last set broke. (They were large, yellow, and very 90's.)
