This is a pic that I found on a Hatchery site of baby Pekin Ducks. Just for reference for when the little darling dries a bit more and fluffs up. You can have something to compare it to.

Thanks! I got the pic off of Meyer Hatchery website. I just clicked on ducklings and then Pekin and there it was. It's fun to play the "Guess that breed"

This is what my ballutie is.

Pekin would so be my guess too. Always thought they were the most commonly used duck for Asian cuisine plus when we talked about them being sold at 17 days incubation that puts yours right on track for a normal duck egg incubation. Just my guess. Can't wait to see what he actually ends up.

He didn't survive the night.

That was the top of his head we were seeing g at the top of the egg.

I'm don't know but I think that is where it is suppose to be.
The head was under the right wing.
