@Ursuline I seriously considered taking you up on the offer bc i want a nice roo esp one that'll make pretty eggs with my girls but I HATE the fbcm hen I currently have and am terrified of ending up with a just as or even more obnoxious rooster version of her.

I had a BCM roo for 4 years (before someone ratted me out) and he was a great provider and protector, but to each her own. I understand.

I'm not supposed to have roosters either which is why I don't have one yet but literally everyone I know in town that keeps chickens either has or has had a roo and one point or another. So I've been considering just doing like everyone else and getting a roo. And I'm sure they are lovely boys. I hope that didn't come across rude. I think I just got a dud Marans somehow.
