@Tesumph Can you rig up something like hardware cloth over the opening on the coop to the run for a week?
Done! I’ll unscrew it when they’re old enough for the run.
Run is 95% finished. Have a tiny bit of wiring to do and have to fork out the scrap hay we got from the ranch.

They are too small to need the run right now and I worry that something will get in at night to eat them.
Keep this coop secure for a while.

Get a piece of wood....something to put the waterer up on a little higher off the floor.
It will help keep it cleaner.
They are going to be pushing shavings in it before you know it.

Do you think three weeks is old enough for unlimited run access?

Also should I be worried about the larger gauge wire at that top section in the coop? That connects to the run but theoretically a snake could get in if it really wanted to..
