➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I'm on page 1163 with 668 posts to read!Too many irons on the fire...I keep falling asleep with my IPad on my lap.

Ducklings can double in size in a week!

Just wondering bc you all are very knowledgeable regarding chick hatching. How long has everyone kept chickens? I'm really loving all the info I'm learning following these active threads and it just had me wondering. I just got my first chickens last year and really didn't have any experience with them. I didnt grow up around chickens but I'd been wanting a backyard flock for years. I familiarized my myself with breeds and housing and am trying to learn the rest as I go. I started with 9 pullets and am constantly adding and subtracting from my flock until I get exactly what I want.
20 plus years with chickens.....and still going.

Why can't mangos be sliced :barnie:barnieeasily like say an apple.:barnie

Those pictures are a lie.
No way in the world a mango can be cut like that.
This is how I cut them...remember to slice the cubes on a diagonal.

OH NO!!!! :hit:hit:hitI wish you could keep them longer!
.
Shouldn't there be a vote! Friday is the day the gang stars are supposed to go to their new home. I bet when I catch up Street Food and Narco are still at
KiKi's home. :fl

And on the subject of size...these ducklings hatched in the same group.

How to tell who is a drake...they look alike on the tails...nope...the drakes have curled feathers called a drake curl. it appears when the drake gets his adult feathering at about 5 months.

They are Vietnamese po boys, if you are ever my way, we have a few great places here that serve them. (that's a hoggie or sub or whatever you call them elsewhere, except the bread is better (French bread). :drool

I should have bought one earlier while I was at the Viet store.
