➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Don’t worry, my mother—ahem, sorry, HUSBAND—has already firmly told me we’re going to the doctor if it gets any worse.

I’m fairly certain it was in our sheets (which I’m about to go wash) and bit me before I fell asleep. I thought I felt something but I was nodding off and ignored it. Yuck!
We will need a photo update of this area every few hours you know.

Check your sheets for a dead spider or bug before you throw them in the washer.

Thank you..had not picked up on that yet.

Can you pop it?

Unless you don't have a choice, never pop anything. That just leads to infection. You can ice but not directly on your skin, use a dish cloth. Yes, you can take some Benadryl. If there's no pain and the swelling is just localized to the bite site, it will probably go away on its own. If you have any other symptoms seek medical attention. But at this point it doesn't seem to be any of the really dangerous bites ( like necrosis).

I pop ant bites.
They feel so much better after they get popped.

Would a spider die after it bites you?

With fire ant bites, as soon as you are bitten run the wound under hot water(as hot as you can stand it without burning yourself) this breaks down their venom. This keeps it from itching and if you're fast enough, will even keep it from forming a bump.
