OH my! LOLA pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel hanging out of his fly. The bartender says "Hey you know you have a steering wheel hanging out of your pants!"
The pirate says, "YAAH, and it's driving ME NUTS!"
I'm a Dragon!I was born in the year of the rooster, maybe that's why I have bad luck with cockerel hatches.![]()
Sounds like a Rhodesian Ridgeback.Since we're talking dogs, here's our little nuisance. She's some sort of mutt with a prey drive bigger than all of Ontario. She spends her days sitting at the edge of the fence squealing at the birds and bouncing up and down.
View attachment 1480584 Other than that, she is a good dog. I dislike needy, barky dogs, and she's neither of those. She loves getting petted, but if I tell her to shove off because I don't need my elbows licked right then, she will. I'd call her medium energy. If another dog is over, she will play for hours on end, long beyond when the other dog is exhausted, but other days she'll (mostly) behave in the house and get her energy out in non-annoying ways.
A working dog is never happy unless it has that job. Our RR are considered working dogs, but with lots of activity and exercise they are satisfied. They are great guard dogs and are big cuddlers too. They need a strong person to serve as alpha or a RR becomes alpha.@dpenning you are right about that. I almost adopted a pup that was and LGD type mix, which seemed suited to my life in the mountains. A dear friend who had owned sever Pyrenees mixes over the years (so a huge fan of the breed) urged me not too because she knew the pyr would be too independent for me and need a job I couldn't provide it at the time. She knew I needed a hiking buddy and and snuggle buddy and would want a dog that wanted more human attention whereas a pyr is content with less![]()
Our Ruby Rose was surrendered for adoption when just under 4 years old. Paid $175 adoption fee. Lily is just 11 months old now. We found her in an ad when she was 16 weeks old. Paid $40 for her.Yeah, it is important to research the breeds to find the right fit for the people. We wound up with mastiffs as we are couch potatoes and needed a dog that would be like. LOL I have found that rescues are the most loving dogs in the world. So figure out what breed fits your lifestyle and then find a rescue that works with that breed. Once they have been rescued they know how good they have it and are so affectionate.... in some cases tho that affection takes time.
I peed!
We have to be careful Te...cough cough...is younger.I really do enjoy the more adult jokes.Keep them coming!
