Looks like they were packed safely for the trip. They look like Coturnix.
We have had eggs shipped to us that arrived scrambled because the mail route is on some nasty gravel roads...even though we live on the blacktop highway. I arrange to pick eggs up at the post office.

How long is the incubation period for quail?

Usually 16 -18, but quail eggs react quickly when in a 100 degree incubator and often hatch early. Drawdown determines when they go in lockdown. Humidity helps.
