➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I'd love to see your self portrait. I've drawn my sister a few times, but I've never drawn myself, nor have I ever considered it.
I'll admit, humans are NOT my specialty.
I stink at humans. I think I might have an idea why I do, and I'm working to fix it, but animals are much more my area.

My real name, Michelle Farmer-Brown.
Get the Bingo joke now?
Oh! That explains why I couldn't find your profile anywhere. I'd wondered where you went.

Good morning, balutties. That was the weirdest catch-up I have done in a long time.

Lab for analyzing bone chemistry to learn what past animals were eating.

Work lab on the left. The back table is where my colleagues analyze human bone. My table is the messy one :p
Right picture is the lab at school. The little stuff on trays is what I am analyzing. Everything else is comparative examples of different animals found in New Mexico.
Omg that's so fascinating! I wish that I was better at sciences so I could have done something like that. I bet you love it.

I have a question. I am waking up in the morning to my duckies water being empty, and we even top it off before we go to bed. So I'm trying to figure out if I should maybe take their food up at night, thinking maybe if they don't eat so much at night that they won't need to use as much water to swallow and clean their nares etc, or do I need to figure out a different water solution? I know we took up our chicks food at night but these aren't chickens. I don't know if you can do that to ducks? I know they are just growing and being ducks like ducks need to do. Suggestions from any of you duck owners?
*side note*
Ducks may take forever to hatch but once they do, they grow friggin' fast! They'll be 2 weeks old Monday and are quickly outgrowing the brooder we have them in. :barnie

Picture of your current water set up please. I'm thinking you might need to macgyver a new waterer.

Yes ma’am! :D Archaeologist to be specific.

This photo is of the lab where I work. But I have similar photos from the lab at my university. I tend to make a mess no matter what lab I am working in

Yeah, I love my job :love There is also a biology museum at my university that has an AMAZING skeletal collection :drool
You're like Indiana Jones! Have you ever screamed, "That belongs in a museum!" at a bad guy???
