I have the regular light bulb set to 35c and it seems to be working perfectly. I have it pointed to one side.

Good idea. I've done it before, and it worked really well... just make sure they don't get behind it and die.I don't want a cave...I want to be able to see all of them at all times.
I am going to leave the heating pad on half of the floor and up the side if the container. I think it will work fine. Should the babies start fussing too much I'll make changes.
I change my mind every ten minutes so no telling how this is going to go.

I wouldn’t bother. If I took down everything on my property that was listed as toxic I'd have a few trees and some mud left. Chickens can eat just about anything.My chickens eat it sometimes.
They like picking at the plant.
Do I need to dig them all up now?
I have elephant ears too.
My dogs have learned to not bother them and the chickens never go near them.
