:gigTrue but other than I few sewing projects I've not done much of anything crafty in a long time. My husband comes from a very large family and for Christmas each year we have a Cajun Christmas where the men bring 1 man's gifts and the women bring one woman's gift. A couple years ago she had us all make guilts as our gift and we had a quilt swap. I made a rag quilt , bc I'm not exactly awesome at quilting so I started simple, but I've been thinking about making another when I've got more time. It was a very fun learning experience. I even ended up making new bedding and a quilted blanket for my daughter's doll crib!:th

Those are great! I really like the top one, is that quilted along the seams? I don't have the patience for quilting either, takes too long, especially hand quilting. I did do a couple of machine quilts but only very small, lap rug type things, mostly for my dog crates.

I used to make my dancing dresses years ago when I did competitive country dancing. I used calico fabric with bridesmaid patters. They were great. Haven't done much of anything crafty in a long time but I retired last November so I'm slowly getting into doing fun things that I never had time for before.

2, 10...same thing. Lol

You have pond enough for 50 or more.
But not brooder and duck house space. I was looking yesterday at how I can expand the retriever kennel that is currently 10 x 10 to add more outdoor run type space if I do wind up with 10. Not gonna count my ducks before they hatch... I think I'll try to apply the Kiki method and brood these indoors as long as I can and interact with them every 30 minutes and see if I can be something besides the destroyer in their eyes. I THINK the 4 originals are starting to understand I bring grub. We will see.

Mess with them all day long as soon as they hatch. I don't know for sure but I bet they will end up more friendly. I'd like to see if it works for you.

Hahahaha. When did you first notice the externals? Count 42 hours from then and I bet that is when they start to hatch.
Noticed the pip this morning so it happened sometime over night. Not there when I candled yesterday. Today is day 25 so I expect them to hatch Wed. No idea on the live.... you pushed my knowledge just by getting me to post a facebook link. When I uploaded the videos I had a couple of old videos from years ago hanging out there that I totally forgot. :) Besides all that, I go to bed around 10. Sleep is too near and dear to me to stay up all night looking at a tiny crack in an egg expecting it to hatch. If there is some kind of activity I'll stay up but otherwise it will be a nice surprise in the morning.

I made them remove the waterer and they now have to syringe feed water until I get back.
I did not because I've used this waterer with newborn banties before without issue.
Was the waterer one of the standard quart size that they usually sell during chick season at the feedstores? Maybe try a quail base instead of the chick base? Less room for them to get in the water but even full sized chicks can still get their beaks in to drink.
