The eggs I am getting are free unless they let me keep some chicks. The breeder had overflow of eggs.Yes, I would say you really NEED to, given the recent history of unexplained deaths in your flock. Without a doubt I would be looking at fixing your problems on the inside before throwing money at more chicks and eggs.
IMHO bad feed seems like a cop-out, especially if it looked and smelled totally fine. A lot more birds would be keeling over if old feed alone was that deadly.
Part of why that was so controversial was because it was locked without any chance for someone to disagree (and it seems a lot of people did not agree) or debate the content any further.
I can lock a thread if I want to. I have that perk, after all.
