➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Chicken Canoe..I am so very sorry about your pup! That is a terrible thing. Poor dog, your poor wife (who I'm sure is beating herself up and feeling awful, probably more so than your dog who is hopefully on some good strong pain meds) and poor you! :hugs

I hope your baby has a smooth recovery without breaking the bank. What an awful accident. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts....
Thanks. Times sure have changed since I was young. Vet bills (if we had any) were in the double digits not 4 and 5 digits.
We raised cattle, hogs and horses. I don't remember a vet for any of them. I did all the castrating and that's the only remotely medical attention paid to any of them. We had horses hooves trimmed once or twice. Most didn't need it. They spent much of their time running rocky slopes moving from pasture to pasture. I'm amazed what people spend on veterinary care today.:old

Any news on the pup?

kinda hard when you think it's just a honest opinon (im horribly truthful and can be quite blunt) that and the fact they said they thought it was a kid it could have been a adult who way trying to type in broken english tho either way I'm more careful but still would have thought you would need to be so old to join anyway lol
This is might help:

The BackYardChickens Forum is a place for members to ask questions, share their experiences, and help each other learn while making new friends.

We've got a huge community, so in order to manage such a large group of diverse people we must enforce certain standards and rules. Underlying these rules is the fact that BackYardChickens is a place where people of different backgrounds and ideas can all feel comfortable participating around their same interest.

Do's

  • Be friendly and courteous to all members at all times.
  • Respect the BackYardChickens Staff. They dedicate LOTS of volunteer time keeping the forum running smoothly.
  • Be nice to newcomers and help them feel welcome.
  • Respect that people may have a different political, religious, philosophical and cultural background than you.
  • Be very descriptive in the subjects of your new topics and try to stay on topic as you post. Example: do not say "HELP ME!", but instead say "I'm having a problem with xxx yyy and could use some help"
  • Link back to BackYardChickens from your site and/or blog, especially if you put a link to another site in your forum signature (see rules on similar sites below)
  • Have fun and learn!
Don'ts
