➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Well it's two hours northish of Ames.
I have to get the town name :p
As a fellow pre-vet student, if you can get other courses that aren’t vital to the program done at a community or lower cost college, that will help you tremendously. Just make sure the credits will transfer, and get very good grades! :) I was just asked into our honors society which is going to help more vet school resume look much more appealing as well.

I have to admit, I was secretly rooting for Conan, but you won hands down Banty. :bow

I'm very sorry Conan, as cute as Andy is, I want to steal Danny from Banty. At least I don't have to worry about smuggling him across the border.
Plus, if you wanted to steal Andy, you'd be digging up a pretty old corpse with a bullet in his skull. You know, so he can't return as a zombie. He lived 16 years and was way cuter than Banty's evil Danny. You can see that he (Danny) bites people in his eyes.

They are Dark Brahmas yes. :) We only have Light Brahmas right now being crossed over our Splash Australorp to introduce the blue into breeding. If you could get ahold of a partridge or blue partridge they usually cross well with Darks.

Yes they are dark brahmas. Dark brahma roosters (or silver penciled Roos) look very different. I would try to find a dark brahma roo to breed them with.
Hmm...so if I can get some partridge/blue partridge hens, and a dark roo, then I can have more pretty colors! 4-5 hens would work for 1 roo for fertility, right?

They say that under 10 will result in fertilized eggs. We have 6 laying hens for our rooster and all of ours are fertile so that works for us.

I think it all depends on the rooster

I honestly don't know what that cross will make but I have zero doubt they'd be gorgeous and I want to see them when/if you get some chicks. Where do you live Sara bc I can recommend a breeder for blue partridge if you are near Louisiana? She ships but I don't know her minimums or how far she will ship. Anyway she's the one that had the huge gorgeous roo I saw.
