➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

LOL I know but I need my own that I can train properly from the beginning. Gator is great but my parents, namely dad, didn't listen to me or any of the rules I wanted to implement so I could only do so much and he can be kind of a brat. I did work with him a lot when he was younger, tricks and obedience and stuff so he's pretty advanced with that but manners are lacking lol although he's better now. Anyway, he's also older and possibly getting sick so he's not really into training now. Even when he was younger he wasn't that into it being half Pyrenees but I did manage to find the right motivation and sometimes he was really enthusiastic but if he didn't want to do it, he wouldn't.

Libby is great but not mine so I can't train how I want, although I have been doing tricks and working on training when I am there.

I am really into training though so I would love one to fo obedience and tricks with or even a dog sport like agility or dock diving or nosework. And hike with or take places.

Medium size ish? Probably no bigger than a Lab or Golden and even that is somewhat pushing it.

Between retrievers or herding dog atm. Think I've ruled out terriers even though I do eventually want one. I would love a husky or GSD or Malinois but sick of stubborn dogs and protective dogs. And plus Mals are way too much work.

Thinking Lab, Golden, Aussie, or English Shepherd, and now also considering Border Collie again.
Look at shelter dogs, or volunteer at a shelter? That way you can practice your dog training skills while looking for the perfect dog for you. Mixed breeds are usually healthier too.
