I have hatched older eggs, even up to 2 weeks. Just expect less of them to develop than a group of fresher eggs.I’m going to wait for a few more eggs and set soon. I’ve been collecting for a while so a lot are likely too old to be viable. 2 weeks is probably too old?
What do you do with all your buttons?
I don't have a ton of button quail, and there aren't that many people in my area selling them. I've been trying to sell them but have not hatched many because most of my birds are related, or at least from the same source.
I think I hatched 7-8 the very first time and most were silver, and only two were boys (one silver). Second hatch only a silver female made it, I was so mad. I ordered 24+ eggs from this new source, so hopefully I get some new colors besides silver, and more boys.
