I ate almost nothing but pizza when I worked at a pizza place in college - when in Rome!Me too. I almost never eat deep fried stuff. But we were stuck in the trailer from 9am to 2am, so didn't have much choice.

Rain rain go away. Do not come back for a few more days.
Deep fried pickles are my absolute favourite!
Prime example of my sugar/junk addiction
People definitely crave what they were raised on. It's damn hard to change those ingrained habits. My mom was nuts. She gardened like crazy, ground her own wheat, made all her own bread, pizza crust, etc. We canned every year, raised meat rabbits and had chickens for eggs. I still love teriyaki rabbit.Wow that's awesome!
Yeah, I'm definitely not usually into diets or bouncing around between them but I do at least want to try this one temporarily or at least do the cleanse because I do have most of the symptoms and want to see if killing off the Candida would help. Not really into it for weight loss or long term or anything like that. Because I do think most of them are the same and just basically about eating better and cutting the processed crap. Like you said. Which is why after this, I'm just going to go back to eating healthy but still keeping the bread and processed stuff away.
We ate terribly most of the time :/
I mean, they did cook but we also ate microwave meals and junk food a lot too, all the typical snacks :/
With my kids if/when I have any I don't think I'm going to do that but I also don't want to be the mean or crazy strict one that lets them have nothing and no fun ever or anything.
But my cousin lets their toddler and little kids drink Coke and my friend eats like ONLY processed crap and white bread.. At least my parents were better than that at least lol but still processed
My rule of thumb is that if I want it, I have to make it from scratch. If I want it bad enough, then I'll do it. If I don't, well, then no pull apart pumpkin bread!
It's totally true! Sugar addiction is a real thing. Just look at the differences at the sugar content in say, breakfast cereal, in Europe compared to here in the States. It's crazy! Canada too. Different sugar levels in sodas, snacks, cereal, it's pretty wild. I went down that rabbit hole once and I was amazed/horrified.Prime example of my sugar/junk addiction: same exit as a Wendy's. Stopped to get a Frosty and 4 piece nugget.only a small chocolate but still. Shouldn't have stopped at all. But it was also only 50 cents. Though I didn't know that till I got here. I just wanted one. It actually prevented me from getting a bigger one. I have quit other stuff before so tell me why quitting my other thing was easier than quitting SUGAR of all things? And okay, maybe it wasn't easier, I'm probably not remembering right. But still. Feels like sugar is harder or at least I have less will power and aren't trying as hard? Idk
We use monster energy drinks to clean the grease and grime at work that the regular harsh cleansers can’t get off.
Agreed. It's a hard thing to do so doing it slowly is best. You can re-adjust your sugar palate over time. We've been steadily decreasing the amount of sugar we put in things like jams, pancakes, and desserts. We also virtually eliminated sodas, including diet sodas. Now using 25% to 50% less sugar in recipes, things still taste wonderful and plenty sweet. "Normal" desserts and even things like store-bought catsup taste too sweet to me now. The trick is to not do it all at once. Steadily start whittling down the amount you add. Also, to the greatest extent practicable, try to avoid processed food and make your own. It tastes better, and will have less sugar and other questionable things in it. Again, this is something best done in small steps, finding things that you enjoy making and fit within your time constraints, etc.
OK, I'll get off my soap-box now.![]()
That is just ... I dunno know to say. X2 - people drink it!!!We use monster energy drinks to clean the grease and grime at work that the regular harsh cleansers can’t get off.
Send the rain here! We haven't had rain since early May -- which is typical for California. I'm ready for the rain. It's so dry and dusty here now.
We did those once! Dipped in home-made ranch dressing. Generally we don't fry much. Aside from not being the greatest thing for you, it's such a mess, and then you have the left-over oil to deal with. Every now and then, however, my husband will set up the cast iron pot and fry some chicken or potato chips. Potato chips are one of my guilty pleasures and home fried potatoes chips?

On a side note, please do look up further "None-Pro" info on the whole Candida thing. There's lots of information out there on it. Sorry, not trying to be a bossy Betty here, I just really don't buy into any of the "cleanse" or "diet" things.
I remember I tried to do a cleanse once. I lasted three days then I ate half a pizza! It was the best pizza I had ever tastedNever again.
That is great rule!

I think one of the main things that most folks don't think about is their beverage intake. I only drink water (and coffee, I'm not a monster!). I love water. Again I'm grateful to my parents for never letting me have soda. I can't handle it at all. It burns my throat and hurts my teeth.
My cousin and I were just looking at the sugar amounts in all Starbucks drinks, sodas, Snapple, etc. I'm horrified. No wonder people are completely addicted to sugar. It's freaking everywhere! I think people would feel a lot better if they just stopped drinking anything but water. Again though, that's much easier said than done.
