➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Yes, it’s mostly why I started raising them. But I actually love their eggs too. And quail tv is always fun.
Neat! I have a free quail and pheasant egg source so I am thinking of trying quail next year. Hoping to use one of my many insane broody Bantam Cochins.
I love how pretty their tiny little eggs are and I can't wait to eat some! Do they taste much different than chicken eggs? Duck eggs? I freaking love duck eggs... my personal favorite so far.

I misplaced it after receiving it then left the country for two weeks and forgot about it. Now it will be part of my necropsy fund.
Okay that makes sense! You probably thought that you would look for it when you got back and then promptly forgot about it. It sounds like something I would do. My biggest 'find' was $20.

Not to brag or anything (just felt like saying it) but I found $70 in cash in my backpack leftover from my trip that I forgot about O.O
By the end of this cleaning I might be rich.

They are similar taste to a chicken egg I find. But maybe a bit more yolk to white ratio than a chicken egg has.
I literally cannot wait til Easter so I can dye the cute speckled eggs every colour of the rainbow!

Hey @BantyChooks I have a question for you. If a PC is slowing down laying or stopping due to age, is the tendency to go broody still there?
Hm, not sure, I've only had PCs for a year and a half. In chickens in general though, I've never had one go broody after they stopped laying. After they slowed, sure.

@KDOGG331
Also, if you like root beer floats, you should have one once in a while. No reason not to. A Frosty from Wendy's? Dip your fries in it! Do it every now and then if you want. Just don't do it all the time. Cutting out treats entirely is not only lame, it's not a real solution.

Funny, that's exactly the commercial they are using around here to promote the .50 Frosty..."dip your fries into it!". I heard that on the way home and was horrified!

Why ruin a good Frosty! :lau:gig:lau

Sorry...I'm an ice cream snob....only handmade ice cream/local creamery ice cream for me
