Rest in Peace 1953-2021
Sorry the circumstances made you take the hard decision.Don't know if it was the storm or my hurricane PTSD, but they were crowing their heads off Tuesday morning. Had hardly crowed at all before. DH and I had to go to work, so couldn't stay outside and try to keep them calm and was afraid a**wipe neighbor would report us while we were at work and DD would have to deal with it alone. Last time she reported me it was Good Friday (years ago), I thought that was a "nice" touch and spoke volumes for what kind of person she is. Sadly it was easier to cull them than to leave DD to deal with the problem. I have teased about them making good chicken and dumplings, but I am not sure I could eat it. They were the best 3 of the 6 cockerels and I was still hoping to rehome them. At least they had a nice if short life.
