Well, either the female bobcat is back or we have a new feline. Caught one on the game camera last night. Lost the last adult Cochin rooster night before last. So did night lockdown and set up the camera. She showed up at 2 am.

Tonight we put out the steel traps and baited one with a dead cull bird.

I like the name Tucker for your pup. Cute puppy. How big will he get? Not familiar with the breed.

I hope I haven't lost the thread here. I think you are talking of a molting hen who is having the problems? I've had hens do a hard molt that I wasn't sure were going to make it. They stop eating, they hang out by themselves, they sleep in nest boxes. All of mine have eventually pulled through, but it has made be appreciate how hard molting can be.

I think the canned salmon is a great idea -- basically some extra protein.

She’s got more than just molting going on, but yeah I think she’ll pull through. I’ve got to get that bumblefoot under control first.

He should get to around 80-100 lbs, but he's already 30!
Unlike most large/giant breeds their lifespan is usually to 18.
