I have 4 incubators and sill have to build a bigger Bator! After all my brooder will handle 45-50 at a time!! I hate brooding 5-10 at a time.:barnie Oh, then will come building the coops
I Better wait till spring.
All the same brand? Or 4 different ones? Preference, cons or comments? Any wisdom you desire to share?

My target will be quail. Looking like 50 eggs at a whack to get 20 birds. But have to plan for 50 in the brooder. Just in case.

Still raining here. The sodden mess has officially become MUCK. Ankle deep in some places. Oh, the joys of no snow!!!! Gotta plant my fall garden too. 60 days until radishes. If they don't rot in the ground.

No no no....
I will not accept these numbers.
Set 50 and only get 20!??? You have screwed up somewhere if your numbers are that bad.

You will be starting with good eggs right?
You will have a much better hatch rate, I am sure.

Once I filled my incubator completely, it was 80 quail eggs, 55 hatched and then suddenly all the people who said they were interested in baby quail disappeared. That was fun.

I am sure too. But if we are mail ordering eggs for fresh stock, we need a plan. Don't want to buy another incubator. I do plan to trial incubate to learn, but you've taught us a lot Kiki-san. So buy in bulk for the discount.

You are teasing us. What was your solution? Grow them out? Find other customers? Release them into the wild?
I grew them out, ate some, sold more, still have some that I need to process this week. I have been putting it off for a long while because I hate processing hen quail, but at least one of them is eating eggs now so there's no point in keeping them if I'm not even getting the eggs. I might have too many quail...
