This is fantastic! This is more exciting to me than my quail eggs. I LOVE good finds like this.Hey all. Have you ever got a deal on something that was so awesome that you just have to tell about it? This is one of those times for me.
A few weeks ago we went to Lowes and while there grabbing whatever it was we were getting, I saw a bunch of buckets of paint that they had on clearance. Some were interior and some were exterior. Nothing wrong with them, just mis-tints. I said, oooh! So I took a closer looksie. They were already marked down, so were like 1/2 off regular price and on the cart there was a sign that said, "70% off the lowest price marked". I can FIND something to do with the paint for a price like that. So I grabbed one. Got to the checkout. Came up $18.75.Woot! Woot! Now that isn't just a can. That is one of those 5 gal. buckets. Normally over $150.00 bucks regular price. SCORE! I check out and it comes up that there is a REBATE promotion going on for that brand. Dude at checkout didn't think it would work since it was on clearance but we printed it out thinking I'd give it a shot. Now the rebate was dependent on the fl oz purchased (was $10-$40 on sizes anywhere from 114 fl oz to 640 fl oz). Well, we get home and put in the rebate request. Thinking on it, we went back for more. I mean, the paint will be ok. We can use it for all kinds of stuff. We're wanting to redo our deck/porch. I want to paint the duck coop. We might build another chicken coop in the future. So I have or can come up with projects. LOL We grab 2 more of the buckets. One was part of the promotion ($22.50) and one was not ($14.94).
So, we put in the rebate request for the one that was part of it and waited. They were accepted. I got my rebate checks in the mail yesterday.
Total price for all 3 paints: $56.19 (not counting tax)
Rebates received : $80.00
SCORE!!!![]()
Now my latest find. We were back at Lowes for something else the other day and looked at their Linoleum remnants. Found one that we thought would work for the duck coop (it will make cleaning so much easier!). 12'L x 4'W. It didn't have a price on it. After waiting and waiting and waiting for an employee to come back to the Dept to ask on it, he gave it to us for $15. WOOHOO! Another SCORE!
You never know what deals you'll find.![]()
