You are nice.... Might let them know you are documenting the days the cows are on your property. Then you will help them get out of the business by loading up their trespassing cows for market and have the check mailed to their address.Unfortunately we are a "fence in" state. Now stuff happens and animals can escape....a provision if the "livestock is habitually escaping" where the livestock owner can and will be held responsible. .... My neighbors are lucky that we're nice people. I just call them and let them know their cows are out and vent elsewhere to keep the peace. Supposedly they are getting out of the animal breeding/selling/farming business. I can only hope.![]()
Hydrogen peroxide on your clothes and shoes as well as tools you use will kill the skunk smell quickly.I don't get sprayed but when an animal dies, all of its sphincter muscles relax and lets out whatever is inside. The liquid does vaporize readily and while not nearly as bad as a spray it can permeate everything.
The worst part was that my "skunk" boots had snow in them and I felt like my feet were going to freeze. I washed my pants with a little Clorox added, took a bath and warmed right up.
They are faster than rabbits! It was hard to get a clear picture of the bullseye, but I am pretty sure I saw it.
What I have still not seen is any mating!![]()
Hydrogen peroxide will bleach the clothes as well as eat holes in them and will destroy leather boots. Dilute Clorox quickly kills the odor also.Hydrogen peroxide on your clothes and shoes as well as tools you use will kill the skunk smell quickly.
11°F here this morning.36 degrees here this morning!
Aww get well soonMorning all. Feeling quite awful this morning. Bad migraine and slightly nauseous from it. Had it last night, figured sleep would help but apparently not. Didn't really sleep well either. Went to sleep around 12:30, woke up around 6:30, fell back asleep until a little after 8 then couldn't go back to sleep. Have to do the dog today at 11:30 too. Ugh. Thinking I will take an Excedrin to try to deal but sometimes that upsets my stomach because of the caffeine but I don't really have a choice because Advil basically does nothing lately and Pamprin does nothing for headaches and I think we're out of Tylenol. So if I gotta go, I gotta go but at least I won't be suffering quite as much. Gotta find something to eat it with though so I don't tear up my stomach even more, don't have much in the house atm. Also my sinuses/ears have been bugging me lately so I'm not sure if it's related or not.

We didn’t even blanket the horses and now I’m regretting it. Once I get home I’ll have to get them on ASAP. Guinness and Olly get so cold at these temps especially with the rain that they shiver visibly. Mammoth is happy with the temps because he’s already back in his woolly coat and Kansas and Snoopy are indifferent.I think I am due for this nastiness tomorrow.
Not quite as cold though.
