I'm thinking I probably should have painted it before I started putting it together though.

I prefer meat so I'm thinking with 4-5 girls I can set batches of 15 and grow them out in batches of 15 at a time.
I don't think I want to grow out more than that each time.

Once they all are laying I should be able to collect 15 eggs in just a couple of days right?

Hey Banty! Question: How low of temps can your Sultans take? It's going down to 35 here tonight, then 33 later this week. I thought I got standards, but they are still really small so I'm thinking I have the bantam versions.

Yeah that's true. 4 or 5 was the original plan, wasn't it? But if you had more you could have 10 or 15 in a day

Right!? I've heard the same stories or acid thrown on them. Even heard of someone setting off a firecracker in a puppy's mouth.

I know...and I'm sure hers can take it to -50, but I'm getting concerned with everything that I'm reading that they are not cold hardy. It was 44 here and really really windy today. I had to repair the coop roof twice....I was pissed. They were active but all fluffed up and huddled at times. I'm thinking they should be ok, they have been snuggling with the bigger girls, but, still want peace of mind.
