Don't leave the bowl out there all night...those monsters will come back.
Yeah, Chef, who usually gives into my animal whims, was like "that's it, I have to put my foot down on this one, NO MORE feeding the neighbors cats!".
Although they were at the door just a little while ago and I snuck out a bowl
One night while walking my dog I saw a large raccoon with 5 littles trailing her up the walkway to the front porch of one of my neighbors who also left food out for the 'kitties'.Don't leave the bowl out there all night...those monsters will come back.

Elvis has left the building.
Sry, couldn't resist.
I get the 3 up and close them in. Call to him. Go look for him. Somehow he had gotten OUT and OVER his fencing area into the big girls area. I don't know how long he was over. I don't know if he interacted with any of the girls or if they even knew he was in there. For all I know the big girls had already gone in to their coop for the night. Thankfully he was pacing the fence line wishing he could get back in his area. I scoop him up. Make sure he isn't harmed in any way. Nuzzle him. Them put him in with everyone else.
I hope this is not a frequent thing that I'm going to have to go through. It really freaked me out for a min there.
Well, here are some current pics.

My name is Dawn and I am a duck mom failure. I can’t get the kids to go to the pond and I can’t stand having muddy ducks because they only go to the pond if I herd them. I haven’t been giving them water as I want them to go to the pond so they have been living in mud puddles.
Soooooo.... tomorrow is moving day. I am disassembling their 10 x 10/condo and moving it closer to the pond. Then I will put up some temp fencing giving them a path to the pond. I figure once I get them IN The relocated condo I’ll have to leave them in for a day to get comfortable with the new spot.
I’m really hoping they figure out how to enjoy the environment they have available to them!
Hopefully moving them closer will be just the thing to get them to realize that it is a safe place as well. Before long, you won't get them out of the pond! I don't have a pond for my little ones to go to. They just have a kiddie pool. I have to shoo them off of it every night to get them to go in to their coop. Otherwise they'd sleep on it. Hang in there.
