➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Are you staying inside all day?
That looks too cold to go out in.
Can't stay inside on a farm. We have been out several times already.
When we go out with the dogs, we take care of small tasks...fed the cow and calf their cubes, then the hen house.
Another trip included opening up the duck coop and their gate into the garden. Lily had to play in the snow...it is her first snow....so fun to watch her.
Next trip out will check the cows on the hill because one is ready to pop a calf.

TP is a must during hurricane season. Stores close for unknown amounts of time. Running low on TP is cause for a panic attack.
Either buy the tp or suffer phone book pages.

You still get phone books? WOW! I thought those went extinct. Good stuff, Maynard.

See!?! Cell phones can't replace everything. :lau

if you have a landline they are supposed to send a phone book... part of the agreement when they started charging for asking for a phone number.. yes I am old  I remember when you dialed 0 and asked the operator for a phone number

I haven't seen a Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages in years.

I think I remember the operator!
I think I remember getting in trouble for the charges for calling her! Maybe ten cents a call. It's fuzzy.

So did my grandmother...had the crank phone for years. She also had the same telephone phone number issued and morphed as more numbers were added. She was 101 when she died in 2010...never had a cell phone. :old

we had to dial 4 numbers .... life was much simpler.. through me for a loop when we had to dial the area code and later they added dialing one first
Ours started with BR3 and then BR38 and then turned rapidly into a full 7 digit number. Getting an area code and 1 plus was a game changer. Went from a paper list on the wall to an address/phone book for those frequent family numbers.

.
I miss the $5 monthly phone bills!
We get phone books for OKC, our county which includes Meeker, another county including Shawnee, and a tri-county book....a little over-kill! So we have plenty of "paper". :gig
We are finally going to get rid of our two phone lines...we have one company for local/state and another for long distance...one of the problems of living in a rural/small country area. Shoul save $60 a month. Roger's mother died a year ago. We kept the land lines for her. Finally letting go...ordered the advertising ink pens for the farm with the cell numbers. :celebrate
