➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

We normally put up red lights.
I want red and white but don't feel like bothering with it this year.
I got my tree up and I am done.
Did that for years until I could no longer get on the roof. Then I just put the red lights along the porch line, used yard stakes with the white lights and twinkle white lights on the trees and bushes.
Then that too became harder to do.

I'm feeling a little like that this year. Haven't put up the tree or stockings or garlands yet. I did put red and gold tapers in the candlesticks on the mantle.
Our girls are all married with children. Two have blended families. So they do their Christmases with their own children, in-laws and extended families...that has always been our suggestion.
The girls put their heads together and let us know the date we will get together for "Christmas". If it is at our house, I will decorate. If it is at one of their homes, I won't.

How are the dogs doing?

How long between when a cockerel starts making strangling cries and when he screams loud enough to wake the dead? If it is fairly quick, I'm not waiting for warmer weather. If it takes several weeks, I'll hope for a sunny weekend.
I think Wednesday looks good.
Do it then.

Depends on breed. Could be couple of weeks or a month.

In our case, it was a while but that was because we have an older rooster. Now they just gang up on the hens together and crow in sync. :smack I’ll be glad when the younger rooster leaves.
