I'm thinking the panhandle. I have some family over there and some friends as well. Which area did your friend move to?
It'll be a huge growing adjustment, that much is for sure. I guess I'll probably have to make friends with greenhouses and the like. We've got a pretty solid growing season here in western WA for a northern state, but I think I could make Idaho work for me.
How long is your growing season? Sounds brutal, but the compromise for the beauty of Wyoming is probably (definitely) worth it.
They moved to Twin Falls. I did work with a fellow that retired to Sandpoint and he really loved the area.

Here it isn't just the growing season but also the alkali and bad water. Last frost is usually the last week of May but has been as late as the 2nd week of June. First fall frost is usually the first few days of September but has happened as early as Aug. 20. Trees can take a beating because of the January and February thaws that get followed by sub zero temperatures.

That sounds as bad as where I live (except for the alkali)
