➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

They sleep in a box/container on your bed?

They have their own blankie with nest-y tunnel-y places where they snuggle down. I have a separate quilt and they now wear sock diapers (no poo in the bed!) Their blankie gets washed daily. Today I’m on the road, so they have to rough it in the coop.

I don't know what to say.
I have never seen this before.
Neat.

The dog is having a hard time with it. She wants to play with them and keeps a pretty good whine/talk (Japanese Chin) going for the first hour.
Poor doggie!
My dogs would never allow a chicken inside much less the bed.
You are quite lucky!

I must leave you now.
I can't believe the time.

Good night all.

NOT CRAZY AT ALL! I originally wanted to go with a dishwasher! I have one in my house brand new just collecting dust! I couldn't destroy it because we spent $600 for it and we haven't even hooked it up.. Checked all over CL for a junk Dishwasher, but sadly had no luck! Then I kept looking at my mini fridge just sitting empty on my dresser. (Also brand new but we used it for a good month or so. Paid $100 for it) So It was a done deal! Mini fridge it was! Best way to think about it is, Bigger the better. Main reason!: Hatching bug hits hard and before you know it, you won't have any room for all the new eggs your going to keep buying!
No you don't have to take pics of them.
I thought there were fans but just wanted to make sure.

I wish I had the Grandma bator in my hands right now so I can play with it.

IF I were to use the dishwasher for my real build it would kinda be dumb huh?
It's too big.
What was I thinking?

The temperatures seem to match up with all my thermometers. ( 3x) As for humidity, I've noticed the ACU-RITE tends to be off. I have 6 other humidity sensors, but currently only have one in the bator. *Pictures from internet, I can't find my camera to take pictures of mine*
I bought the first one from petco, all my others are from Ebay. They all range with in 2-3 % from one another. The petco one doesn't seem to do very good in super humidity. There is people on ebay who sell Humidity controlled system! I'm debating on trying it out. Here is the link to the Humidity Controller : LINK
My other 5 are:

We have the same black ACU-RITE.

Have you found that one things works better than the other?
By thing I mean the thermometer part vs. the humidity part.

Like could the temp be reading way off buy the humidity be point on?
Vice versa.
