➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

I can try tapping it, force or heat.
I am going to try the heat method first,
Just to see if it collects back together.
I don't think I will be able to trust this thing again.
I fixed a separated liquid in glass thermometer by getting a glass full of cold water and ice cubes dropped it in that too it was almost at the bottom then I turned on my hot water let it run till it was the hottest it would get them I just kept going from hot to cold really quick to maybe 8 mins to get it back together and it reads right so bonus.

Good morning all, update...
Well, Tweets has been eating and taking drinks from the red bottle caps. Been showing where to find water. The brooder is next to my bed so I can monitor closely.
As a new mom to this wee baby.
I have a headache, exhausted from checking on Tweets, making sure heat and Tweets is was getting stronger. :jumpy
Now to decide if I should just let him be, in his brooder or take him with to be sure all is well.
He enjoys the chick in the mirror for company. Don't want to stress the chick with travel if it's not needed.
What is your thoughts and wisdom about it?
Here are new pics of Tweets. :love

I think this is helpful to me too because here I am thinking that a high watt bulb is the only way to go. I haven't yet understood the part about how lower watts can still work.
Thanks @lazy gardener

In a cooler sized bator the 40W bulbs are fine, and perhaps 20W would also work. The theory behind using 2 bulbs is that if one blows, you still have the second, so you don't end up with complete failure. If you could re-wire a table lamp with good instructions, you can build an incubator. Check out Rush Lane Poultry for his many "how to build an incubator" videos. He does step by step instruction for wiring in all of the various types of thermostats on the market.

No you don't have to take pics of them.
I thought there were fans but just wanted to make sure.

I wish I had the Grandma bator in my hands right now so I can play with it.
:barnie

IF I were to use the dishwasher for my real build it would kinda be dumb huh?
It's too big.
What was I thinking?

Bigger just means more egg!!

Decided to let Tweets be, he is stable. Eating, drinking and resting.
Ask my husband to keep an eye on the chick chick.
Sometime he is still wabbly and at time end up on his back in a chicken trance. Then I been gently rolling back upright.
I have 3 section of heat differences so he can go where he needs to...
Turned of heating pad. Just the a regular 40 watt bulb for warmth, 60 was getting to hot. In case he ended up on his back.
Still nervous but we still must go to work.
:)

I finally caught up and am waiting for the news on new chicken Baluts and incubator updates.
I have an old styrofoam still air Little Giant too...I use it for a hatcher.

Liquid nails can generally glue anything to anything. Check the dry time on it. Don't want it to be all toxic fumes when the baby balut go in.
Wouldn't the liquid nails glue dissolve the styrofoam?
