➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Just brushed, flossed, AND used mouthwash. Self care and hygiene level up :lau

Haven’t flossed or used mouthwash in forever. I normally just brush* but I accidentally read about gum disease earlier today and I am NOT about to get any gum diseases :lau

Also I need to start flossing more cause the amount of shit you can get out from your teeth even AFTER brushing is honestly disgusting. :sick

Also my mouth now feels minty fresh and super duper clean so there’s that :lau  :D

*let’s be real here, I don’t always brush every day either and have been know to occasionally go a couple weeks if I forget  usually it is much much shorter than that lately but I often only brush if I am going somewhere  but since I have been having more places to go and things to do lately as well as being in a better mental state, I have been brushing more frequently, but if I don’t have anywhere to be sometimes I don’t or just plain forget. And I have been known to forget showering too  sometimes for days or a week at most  :sick again, much better lately and been showering way more frequently but my self care is definitely NOT the best..... but I have been trying to be better about it lately. But also even when I do brush, I usually do it once in the morning and/or before I go wherever I go and all my sugar food crap sits in my mouth overnight  But we start being on me about that more so than cleaning or other such dumb stuff? Okay, that stuff is not dumb, but I want to focus on health/self care and better eating and sleep habits first and I think once I do that I will feel way way better and maybe be in a better place to be able to clean lol but I do not want to get gum disease or be smelly lol so pleaseeeee be on me about that too? And WOW. Did not mean to type a whole entire paragraph in this tiny print lol I can and will enlarge for anyone who cannot read this entire thing in this small of print. Which is likely everyone. Lol whoops sorry.
Damn it K.
You know I am going to seriously bother you now don't you?
Brush your damn teeth daily!

I think this year is shaping up to be my best yet so far. So many travel plans already (all of which involve concerts... whoops..). So many friends, new and old. So many concerts. Plus I’m getting 5 new chickens and am going to have a giant garden this year, which will hopefully help me to eat healthier and lose weight. Though I also have lost a little weight already. Not much but started working out again today.
Life is good!

We’ve only ever used shavings :idunno I’m thinking wood chips out there though. I’d have a dirt floor to work with instead of concrete like the one we have the group in now. :celebrate
I have deep litter in the hen house and concrete in the brooder room. Rooms are connected thru a doorway. Wood shaving on concrete helps keep floor clean and warm in winter. Composting deep litter in henhouse helps provide heat in there during the winter. Compost gets hauled to the garden in spring and the process starts again....leaves, chips, shavings, straw, garden weeds, etc.

You know what I think would work good at helping you do things in a new way....a schedule.
A daily time schedule that stays the same everyday.
Can we make one?

I was raised with the schedule...chores or daily tasks are done before play. And if something important comes up to change the day, then chores still had to be done before going to bed.
Mom would break up some tasks...like dust one day a week, vacuum another day. Laundry...one load a day.
Big rules...
If you get it out, put it back where it goes when done.
No clothes or shoes left out...put away before bedtime.
Energize your task with music.

No but I did see it on there and it looked pretty good.

Yeah I know but I’ve just never really been a planner. I just prefer to think of what I want to get done and do it that day. Which I know clearly isn’t really working out for me at the moment and maybe it would be smarter to plan so I’m definitely going to at least give it a try but even without planning, once I get up and moving/motivated to do something, I can get a ton done. It’s just the motivation/getting moving part that’s the challenge. And it always has been for me. Just worse lately with all the other stuff going on. But I’m working on it. I did a lot today. Not a lot by most people’s standards but a lot to me. And I worked out not once but twice today.
It is hard to get motivated if a job looks too big to tackle. Break it up into smaller bites.
I make a list of tasks to get done in a week so I can plan ahead. And one for the month.
On big tasks I make sub notes on bite size portions and then check them off when completed. This works with spring cleaning, gardening, regular housework, big meal preparation like Thanksgiving.
Rewards for job completions could be your IPad or something important to you.

Chores are not an option here.
Neither is homework but it makes it super easy because it was never an option.

The Mex has a bad habit of leaving a dirty dish in my sink. He gets reminded often, I swear I don't understand how he forgets with my constant reminders.

Little boys (the Mini) are not fans of baths or brushing teeth but that is not an option either. One must just suffer through it, daily.

Girls with not find their forever prince or princess if they have stinking breath.
:sick
