➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

My hubby text me asking if I wanted a female goat for free. A regular one not a miniature he said. :( I said no. My reasoning? We have no where to put the poor thing! We don't have a basement or a garage. We don't have a carport. No structure or shelter for it. Shoot, we don't even have a spare room to house it in temporarily. I just don't think it would be responsible or in the goat's best interest, even if it was coming from a poor situation. We just aren't prepared or ready. I feel bad but I do think I am doing the right thing. I sooooo wish the timing was better. :hit

Yep. It was turned backwards so we had to use the outlet but it is a happy healthy bull.
Wow . I'm so glad they had you available to be able to assist. Breach babies are not easy. I've never experienced it personally but have watched a many animal/vet shows and they just look rough and they don't always have a happy ending. I'm glad this one does. Yay!

No worries. I wouldn't have known whether or not Mass or TN was closer to the hatchery. I FINALLY got a confirmation email with tracking number that they have shipped. They're coming Priority Express. The tracking # doesn't have any info as of yet. Is still too early. I am all ready! We got fresh clean feeder and waterer. I don't have them in the brooder yet but I will. I got out our heat plate and cleaned it off really well. And I have fresh shavings put down. I am so very happy! I feel like I am going to burst with excitement! :celebrate

I always think it is way more south and east than it is rather than so central. Same with Kentucky. :lau

Awww that stinks!! But you are right, definitely doesn’t sound like a good idea to get it, and it is good to be responsible!! I am glad you are and are thinking about that kind of thing because a lot of people wouldn’t.

All I know is that I got placenta on my boot haha! The neighbor needed hands and called us and I ran over.

I told him if it is an emergency situation that he can always get a hold of our neighbor who has all of the goats. What's one more? :gig
