They were new jeans too. Another bad note was it looks like one of the eggs got busted and was devoured before I got out there. Need them to stop laying in one box. Also need them to stop laying under the hanging box. I’ll run out of pants if they continue.

Well, just because who doesn’t like seeing chicks play. I’m not good with names but I’m trying to talk my hubby in to a flower theme or something like that. He thinks we need to give them more time for their personalities to decide.

Tape a tomato sauce can to a length of pvc pipe...at a slight angle...makes a nifty scoop for those eggs just out of easy reach.
I'm too old to get down on my hands and knees easily so I have one in the hen house and one in the duck coop.
One of those extension hand rakes works nicely in a pinch too.

Normally my hubby has been letting the animals out in the morning but 1 morning he had to go in early. So I get up and let everyone out. The ducks lay first thing in the morning so we are able to collect as soon as we let them out. Instead of crawling in the bedding trying to grab them, I grab my long handled bedding rake/fork thingy. Reach in with it and softly roll the eggs back towards me until I can reach and grab them. Voile! I tell my hubby. He says, I never thought of doing it that way. I usually climb in, most of the time sticking my hand in poo. He does things the hard way sometimes . I'm always trying to think of easier ways of doing stuff.

Have you considered yoga pants? I see them everywhere, but they never split. I've seen a couple that I would put money on that should have split. The proverbial 10 pounds in a 5 pound bag.

I wear oversized bibb overalls. Very snazzy.
