➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Oh and I still haven’t started my seeds yet but I am going to go do that right now while I wait for my dad to get back with dinner, won’t take long since those trays already have soil in them. I want to do it now because I have been meaning to for like 3 days but especially since I got the trays yesterday and I refuse to put it off any longer. The eggplant is already a little late since that needs so much time to get started/encouraged to come to life and then get to a good transplant size so at this rate, I own’t be able to plant it, so NEED to plant today, no more putting off, and the tomatoes and peppers are getting pretty close too. So even though I’m exhausted, gonna plant seeds tonight and not put it off any longer. Plus that’s a fairly simple, easy task anyway, I think I can handle it LOL

You don't have to wait that long.

I’ve read a couple things that said to wait 24 hours but some others said you could just wait 6 but 24 was best. Idk. I wanna wait longer. Although it hasn’t moved much. Incutherm is at 72% and ThermPro is still at 65%???? Why so much lower???? I need to retest lol

Just start over already.
Write those numbers down first.

Over night is plenty long enough.

Do you have gallon size bags?
I need to go back and zoom in on your last picture.

How much salt did you use? Roughly.

Okay. I will. But probably not tonight. Idk. I might at least take them out of the bags and let them reset.

We don’t have any atm which is why I went smaller. :/ figured I should probably use some gallon ones. I will get some or some sort of jar or something.

And I have no idea... whoops... just poured a bunch in then some water till it looked good... and I actually dumped it, rinsed it, and redid it like 3 times  but it is a gallon milk jug cap and a regular Dasani water bottle cap. The bottle cap is smaller but deeper. But I don’t think I filled them completely with salt but kinda put a bunch in the middle. But I did fill them pretty full so probably close. Idk if that helps. I will be more accurate and scientific next time and I want to use a bigger container.

I didn’t end up doing the seeds because my dad came home like right when I was about to but also because the soil is taking forever to absorb the water. Been like almost 2 hours now. :barnie I always seem to have troubles with peat moss and water absorption/retention. :/ might try getting some compost from outside but I think I’ll just wait till tomorrow and see if it’s absorbed more. This is what it’s a mix of. Idk why but peat moss never seems to absorb water for me. :hmm have some outside too.

I'm afraid a milk jug cap is not big enough
Use a measuring cup or a dish close to one cup size.
Use a half cup of salt and a little water.
