➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

Be careful when it comes to some indoor or exotic type birds. A lot of them have LONG life spans. Like for example, a Macaw I think lives like 80yrs. I don't know about parakeets and/or cockatiels. I'm just saying that make sure you are in it for the long haul is all. Some birds are so smart and can be trained with positivity/treat training. They're awesome!

Yeah, this is Carmen, and this colorful jerk is 18 and will likely outlive both my partner and me.

I totally read this as "pet cow". And I was confused because I didn't know WHY a pet cow would be illegal except that you just weren't zoned for them maybe. And then I was about to upload an adorable cute baby cow pic because, why not? But I was behind and I wanted to catch up. I was skimming along through the conversation. Not quite following along because I knew something just wasn't quite right but my poor tired brain hadn't figured it out yet. Then I got to this point below...

And then I was like.. what the heck?!? So I went and reread up until that point again. I think it's about time for bed for me. :barnie But on the correct subject of crows... I love the crows around here. Ever since I saw them harass and chase off the hawks. I need to put up feeders but omgosh do they go through some bird seed! I had 2 feeders out and I couldn't keep them full.
I can't believe I read cow...:smackHere's a cow pic anyway :gig

I'm glad your tired brain read "cow". That is one adorable cow. I'd take that cow.

And also Honan, I was thinking you were like my age so you’re older than I thought but not like old. You’re still young and hip. Just was not expecting you to be closer to Kiki’s age than to mine lol but then again, I always think everyone is my age :lau
It's kinda hard to gauge age on the ol interwebs. Even with pics :)

Awww.. who's a pretty bird? You are! :love Can't help it. I totally went high pitch squeaky baby voice in my head. My sister had a Macaw at one point in her life. She taught it to dance (would bob it's head up and down and flap it's wings) and it would give you a kiss. I forget why she gave it away. A friend of hers had a cockatiel I think it was? The owner would let it out and it would fly on to your shoulder. Loved shiny things. Would keep trying to nibble my ear. Actually was trying to get at my earring. The cheeky bird got the stone out of it! That was a very long time ago when I was just a kid.
