➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

That is what I am wondering. I already have the page up and have been scouring the website, going between this breed and that breed. She definitely has feathers on her legs. This is her when we first got her.

This is her now at almost 6 weeks old.

:idunno She is sweet and fluffy and I think I probably just need to let her grow out a little more to know for sure.
The difference between a BCM (hen size is 7lbs!) and a Frizzled Cochin (hen size 28oz!) is massive.
Maybe I should email and ask but by what age do ya'll think I would know for sure?
I don't think it looks like a bantam nor frizzled. Frizzled is frizzled for every feather, even the wings. I suspect there is some other explanation but I don't have any idea what that would be.

Hmmm... she does look pretty tiny in all these pics!! I think I would definitely email!!

My mom has an EE who is almost purple! I'll get a picture tomorrow.

Wow that is so cool!!

Hmm, that’s true. The wings don’t look frizzled. But maybe it is just poorly bred or they haven’t curled yet? Although the adults on that page look to be fully frizzled. It is definitely very odd. I say get really good pics of her from every side/angle, full body and close ups of her comb and legs/feet and stuff, and then email Meyer inquiring about her breed.

Yes, I am still alive, between work and DD, I am lucky to have time for anything, sometimes I lurk for a short time, but today logged on. Thanks to those who have not forgotten I exist :celebrate I am trying to get ready for a new hatch, 3 broody hens again this year, including one Blue Marans girl (almost a hen). the 4 girls from last year are laying like crazy. I hate to be the Debbie Downer, but I think the bird above is a mix! :th.
What is everyone else up too? (besides Kiki becoming a thief ) Of course if no one is taking care of them it is not stealing, it's saving (something Heroic) IMHO

What color are her eggs? :pop
Even more hilarious, can you guess what her nickname was as a chick when she was being all skittish and crazy? Hint, she had a unique-looking comb...
