My brother lives in Phoenix. It seems like they get one of those Haboobs at least once every year. I've never been there during one. They look scary!

They sure do look scary!! I think I would be utterly terrified!! Especially since it usually also comes with high winds, heavy rains/monsoons, thunder and lightning, sometimes hail, etc.! No way! No thank you! Get me out of there!! Lol

I have a couple of the containers I use for chicken food and originally dog food then nothing for a while and now bird seed and I absolutely love the containers, think they’re the vittles vault or something like that and I love those but I want to switch from a big bowl for feeding to a bucket feeder, I already have two made but they seemed scared to stick their heads in so I gave up after minutes lol they’re spoiled, so I’m thinking I could put this lid on them and keep it extra fresh and sealed. Although it kind of defeats the purpose if there is a hole in the side lol but I figure I could cap the hole at night too. Or maybe I could use the lid on something else. Idk. I just figured it would be good to have!! And easier to use and more adaptable than the vaults. Maybe I could use it for people food lol what sort of things do you put in it? We don’t really have very much bulk stuff. But I like the idea of the lid. And apparently a lot of other people do too as there was only one left lol would have gotten more, especially since I have two bucket feeders, but there was only one left lol rats. Also still need to figure out a feeder for the new babies. Not sure I want to use those metal trays with the head holes again but I guess I probably will. I think I still have some in the shed actually, I need to check before I go buying anything else lol if I do, I will clean and use that rather than buying something else.

Ohhh. Never mind then. That is a good point. I was just thinking since the sandblasting is probably expensive to add on, it was smart getting it for free, but I guess not if it ruins everything else. I did not even think of that. When they do it in a shop or something they probably only target certain parts of the car.

Those areas are either removed or taped off to protect them so the sand blaster can get all the paint and/or rust.

Ewww that sounds nasty! Lol we don’t have that problem here.

And yeah, it was more expensive than I was expecting but still not too terribly bad. I think it was like 7 or 8 dollars. So I got a bucket, the Gamma lid, and 2 of the regular tear strip lids (which I think do have a rubber gasket too but not a full Gamma seal), for like $18.

Which I thought was kind of expensive for only 4 little things but still not too terribly bad. I think the bucket itself was like $4.88 or something. The lids were like $2.58 each. I thought the buckets and lids were more of a rip off than the Gamma lid. At least that has a great purpose and is more worth the price. The bucket should be like $2 or $3 and maybe $1 or free/included for the lids.

And I may have to switch to jars and buckets!! Our cabinet is sooo disorganized!! Haha maybe that would help.

I live in San Diego. The weather is mostly pretty mild, but by the end of July until at least mid October it gets hot. August & September here is like living on the sun. The ants start pouring in here looking for a cool spot & some water but its just as hot in the house as outside & it doesn't cool off at night during that time. For two months we will have hoards of ants everywhere (linen closets, tea bags, medicine cabinets, toilet tanks, house plants, in our bed...) Its like an all day battle, everyday for two months. We cant keep anything on the sinks or counters. All my cute décor stuff gets packed away & the cabinets are minimized so you can see any activity in them. The gamma buckets are really kind of a pain for inside the house. They're bulky, not shaped good for cabinet storage & everything is just kinda piled in there, but they are a necessity & I'm very grateful for them.
