➡I accidentally bought Balut eggs: 2 live ducks! Now a Chat Thread!

My hubby agrees with @Texas Kiki.
I breed Heritage Columbian Wyandotte to preserve the breed and for the eggs and meat.
I can a lot of chicken and broth each year for my family.
I hatch between 150 and 250 each year.
I would love to be focused enough to do this!! One day when the kids aren't so little, maybe. As of now, as Conan would put it, i'm a "whirling tornado of glitter"... but instead of glitter, it's footballs, cleats, legos and sippy cups.

I think you've got a great plan. Well done! I really like the idea of having the big girls see them right off the bat. Should make integrations nice and easy.

On another note, my feed store had Cream Brabanters yesterday, which I had never heard of. The gal googled them and I ended up bringing home five pullet chicks. I had literally (the day before) just taken the PCs and Hamburgs out of the brooder and moved them to the transition coop. I've got problems, man. In my defense, look at them!!!View attachment 1754789 View attachment 1754790 View attachment 1754793 View attachment 1754794 View attachment 1754795
I don't blame you...I melted when I saw these pictures. I want 100 of those. :love

We went out to the property we're buying and I tried to take a picture of my kids... it's not what I had in mind but this was way better :lau.

Did the little one trip or get shoved?

He was running up to big brother and bit the dust. He was not hurt. He just bounced and got back up. He's VERY proud of this picture, actually.

:lau OMG
