It think it just can happen in the breed but I’m not sure. I would need to look it up because I thought I read once you have to be more careful with them in general and with other chickens injuring them because they have a vaulted skull. But I don’t remember if that was all of them or not. Sounded like it but it can’t be.

I haven't actually read up on crested chickens and the skull deformities that cause them. Especially in regards to crest to crest breeding, etc. I've only read about the crested duck issue. Definitely need to do some learning in that area.
