I looked out the window this morning and saw a Raven sitting on top of a power pole. Then I saw a Magpie harassing it.

Do you have neighbors?

The spat was most likely due to the Magpie thinking that the Raven was too close to the Magpie's nest. The Raven gave up in the end and flew away.

Huh, interesting. That makes a lot of sense though! The raven seems smart enough to move on at least

I don't like that type of affection either. I'm pretty picky. I like animals that socialize via more indirect means, which is probably why I ended up liking chickens and rabbits so much. Dogs practically jumping into your arms when you get home... not my thing.

Oh yeah, to be clear, I don’t tolerate that type of behavior with me!! Like if I got one, they would never be allowed to jump up or plow into me like that. I train it out/discourage it. But it’s just they have a much more physical play style with other dogs than some breeds. Some of it is definitely their nature but I think they can be trained to not be physical and crazy with their humans. Maybe even with dogs too. Don’t know. Never tried to train it out with dogs.
