Seems to me that some of y’all are being a bit harsh on Kdog. Lots of people enjoy going out to eat from time to time. And it doesn’t inherently mean that they are rich or financially irresponsible. Personally, I am glad that people like eating at restaurants, otherwise my DH would be out of a job (He is a restaurant chef). Also, restaurant food is inherently more expensive because of overhead costs. If the food is really cheap, it probably means the employees are paid low wages without benefits.

I think it is fantastic that some of you eat only home cooked meals. Congrats, and you keep doin you. But it is kinda crappy to try to shame kdog and her father, just because he took his daughter out for a nice treat. Sure, it wasn’t the healthiest option, but that is a separate issue. Eating out ain’t evil folks.

I actually agree with you. It wasn't $27 for two burgers, it was for two burgers two shakes and fries. Not unreasonable at all. Not to mention I've eaten at that chain and it is good grub if not good for you.

Maybe this price is crazy to me because I'm not familiar with how much fast food costs these days

You are absolutely right about the overhead costs and everything and I do appreciate the defense even if it’s not entirely necessary. Idk if it is or not. But I did think the job thing was a little odd or was a little uncomfortable but I love everyone here and know that wasn’t the intention so I answered it anyway but I didn’t think it was that bad price wise. Health wise, sure. But idk. I didn’t really see how that was relevant.

Anyway, I kind of thought maybe it was just me or didn’t even really think it was bad until you said something and now the stuff after even though it’s not the intention honestly kind of feels like I’m being attacked and I’ve been sitting here with tears streaming down my face.

I don’t know if it’s just because my period started today and I’m just overly sensitive or if I really should be upset by some of them or what but I normally NEVER get upset by anything you guys say because I know you never mean to be mean or do it out of malice unlike some posts and posters where I have cried over far less elsewhere but usually I never do here because I like everyone and consider you all friends but for some reason today I can’t seem to stop the waterworks.

I think it is probably just me being overly sensitive though. As usual
